Serving as your Real Estate Professional, I will spend as much as 10-20 hours working FOR you, for every hour I spend working WITH you. I am constantly previewing homes as they come onto the market, as well as spend time reviewing information on homes that have sold, recently. Every 4 years I complete 45 hours of professional training and instruction that is recognized and accredited by the California Department of Real Estate (DRE). This 'Continuing Education' keeps me current and up to date on the new laws, trends in the market and many, many other aspects of the Real Estate industry. I was born and raised in Monterey, where I lived until 1966, when I enlisted in the Military and spent 2 1/2 years in Indiana, and 1 year in Vietnam. Returning home, I spent several years in the car business and then opened my own Real Estate office. In 1994 my wife, Claudia, and I moved to Aromas onto a 5 acre mini ranch, where we have horses, dogs & cats. I love the country atmosphere and the peace and tranquility that it offers. Our two daughters are grown, now. One, recently married,and is now expecting our first Grand Child. She and her husband, Josh, work in his families Jewelery store in Carmel. Our youngest daughter is attending UCSB, majoring in Marine Biology and working as a trainer on a prestigious horse training facility in Santa Barbara, a dream of hers since childhood. I understand horse property, as I have practical experience with it myself. I have successfully represented both buyers and sellers in commercial Real Estate transactions as well. I am also knowledgeable in commercial property. Having been licensed since 1978, I have accumulated 29 years of experience and knowledge, and can and will represent your interests, first and foremost. Personal Born in Dresden, in what then was still East Germany and growing up under a communist regime, I came to the United States in 1991 as an AU PAIR (Nanny) to learn English, after having escaped East Germany, just before the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. It had always been a dream of mine to someday get out of East Germany away from the restrictions of growing up under a communist dictatorship, to have a chance of a life in freedom and all the opportunities that come with it. That dream became reality for me when I finally escaped East Germany via Hungary in October of 1989, leaving my life, my family and friends behind to pursue my dream of a life in freedom and full of opportunities. I will never forget the moment when the bus driver, who was driving a group of us over the border from Hungary to Austria, pulled the bus over on the side of the road, right after crossing that border, made us all get off the bus so that we could feel Freedom under our feet. It is memories like this one, I believe, that helped make me the person that I am today. I believe that anything is possible once you set your mind to it and put your faith into it. And because of that belief, I will do whatever it takes to help you achieve your dreams as well, even if it?s only in a small way by helping you find a place they can call home and feel happy in. I have lived in Salinas for about 14 years now and am the lucky Mom of 2 beautiful daughters ages 13 and almost 9, who are the light of my life. I am very involved in their schools and sports, and meet many wonderful people because of that. Having managed a busy Dental Office for 6+ years prior to getting my Real Estate license, I've had the opportunity to get to know many different people from all walks of life in Salinas and the surrounding areas. While working there, I learned that I am a true people person and a great listener.
